Cod is the heart and focus of the Riberalves Group’s activity. But within the family, the wine bug had been gnawing for a long time. The mix of rational business investment and emotion led to the birth of the AdegaMãe project in 2009, inaugurated in 2011. After all, despite the focus being cod, the family has always lived linked to the countryside, in the rural areas of Torres Vedras. The grandparents of Bernardo Alves, general director of Adega Mãe, had a vineyard and a wine cellar where a wide variety of wines from the region were sold.

Manual harvest and light pressing. Cold static decantation for 48 hours. Fermentation in a cement egg at controlled temperature for 20 days, aging in the egg under fine lees for 10 months.

Straw lemon colored wine, strativa. Good aromatic concentration, only achieved by the age of the vines that gave rise to it. Nose with floral aromas, white fruit and a gunpowder note that contributes to its aromatic richness. Dry wine, with fresh acidity, good texture on the palate with several layers of complexity, resulting in a rich, voluminous and balanced finish.

Meat, lamb and fatty fish dishes in the oven.

Keep the bottle lying down at a temperature of 12ºC. Serve at a temperature of 12ºC.
