The best wine, when nature wants it!

How many of you remember ever having a DOC Arruda wine in your glass? Surely very few. Rescuing the centuries-old prestige of this region with a profound vocation for wine production is part of the aims of the very young Monte Bluna project.

Monte Bluna starts its journey in 2015, with the purchase of a small vineyard of Aragonez, aka Tinta Roriz, with more than 40 years old. From the almost entertainment and taste for the good things in life of its founder, who upon making the first wine in 2016 realized that quality could be a serious case.

Vinification
Monte Bluna Vital 2021 is a single varietal wine from a autochthonous and rare grape variety from the Lisbon region. The grape was harvested by hand, with sorting, for small boxes of 20 kg. In the cellar, the grapes were again chosen at
hand and then destemmed. The Crush - Passive - was the result of transportation to the press, where it fulfilled short maceration and soft pressing. The fermentation was conducted at room temperature and finished in cask. A malolactic transformation took place in these same casks. French oak casks from the Allier forest were used. 400 L and 225 L, with various low-fat toasting regimes
intensity. It staged in these same casks for 4 months, until its bottling on the 8th of June 2022, having started marketing in 2022. preserve its quality, Monte Bluna Vital 2021 was bottled without treatment, thus being able to give rise to natural deposit formation.

Guard
Although it can be consumed right away, it presents predicates to evolve positively in bottle for several years, provided it is stored properly.

the aroma has great distinction, guided by quality and remarkable multidimensional richness. Features pulp fruit white, delicate floral notes and herbal hints. A
wood is well integrated and provides dry fruits and brioche, all based on limestone background to last in the memory.

In the mouth it is elegant, exquisite in the balance between generosity of the body, full of substance and vibrant freshness.

Open 1 hour before being served. Consume at a temperature of 12ºC - 14ºC.
