How many of you remember ever having a DOC Arruda wine in your glass? Surely very few. Rescuing the centuries-old prestige of this region with a profound vocation for wine production is part of the aims of the very young Monte Bluna project.

Monte Bluna starts its journey in 2015, with the purchase of a small vineyard of Aragonez, aka Tinta Roriz, with more than 40 years old. From the almost entertainment and taste for the good things in life of its founder, who upon making the first wine in 2016 realized that quality could be a serious case.

Vinification
The Bluníssima 2016 is a monovarietal wine from the Aragonez variety. The grape was harvested manually, with choice, for small 20 kg boxes. In the cellar, the grapes were chosen by hand again. and then destemmed. The Crush - passive only - was a result of transport to the depot. enjoyed a day and pre-fermentation maceration medium and then fermented at temperature of 25º C. The finishing malolactic transformation, made it in cement deposit. After transformation, it matured 15 months in used French oak casks from the Aliier forest. It rested for another 9 months in a stainless steel vessel until bottling in May 2018, where it remained more than 4 years years until its launch in December 2022.
preserving its quality, the Bluníssima 2016 was bottled without treatment, thus being able to give rise to the formation of deposit Natural.

The ending is enveloping and prolonged.

in the aroma presents ripe red fruit, forest notes and
mentholated and pleasant hints of leather. wood well
integrated to bring sweet and smoked spices, all based on limestone background.

In the mouth it is angular and elegant, with body and captivating freshness, structured, with tannins
robust but delicate.

Open an hour before serving. Consume at a temperature of 16ºC – 18ºC.
