The fruits of a meeting between a scientist’s dream and a unique terroirin Bairrada, the wines of Luís Gomes have witnessed a noble and notorious way among the wine enthusiasts, the critic and the region fans.
 
Harvest
Manual carried out on the 25th of August 2020. Vines from centenary vineyards in limestone soils, with a planting date prior to 1930, where the Maria Gomes and Bical varieties predominate.
 
Vinification
Grapes from different plots and varieties pressed together, with a whole bunch. Resulting must fermented in used barrels, followed by regular batonage until bottling in June 2020. Tartaric and protein stabilization achieved naturally during an extended aging period of 10 months in barrels.

Tasting

Rich dishes of white meat or cod in the oven. Excellent to accompany the most varied types of cheese.

Citrus and floral aromas, reminiscent of orange blossom and lime. Hints of vanilla, spice and beeswax add aromatic complexity.

In the mouth it shows to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, well reflecting the calcareous soils from which it comes.
