Rovisco Garcia Reserva 2014 Red

In the amazing Avis, one of the most beautiful villages of Alto Altentejo, very close to the Maranhão dam, lay the estates of the Rovisco Garcia family, the jewel of the cork oak forest, where the olive grove and the vineyards find unique conditions to grow. The wines are full of personality and pay tribute to a terroir blessed with a rigorous and demanding winemaking and oenology.

Vinification
The grapes were handpicked to small boxes at early morning hours. Cold maceration for 48 hours and alcoholic fermentation under controlled temperature followed by malolactic fermentation partially in new oak barrels. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 20% new. And a further period of 8 months in bottle.
