Hearing the challenge of saving old vines planted by his Grandfather, Micael Baptista knew what was his duty: a long, ambitious work and the sweetness of the most beautiful art: the winemaking. At the sublime region of Dão, helped by the capable hands of reputed oenologist Patrícia Santos, Quinta da Ramalhosa produces a handful of excellent wines, waking up the passion within the enthusiasts.

Palhete is a blend in the vineyard where white and red grapes come together in the stone press.

Vinification
Grapes harvested manually, transported in boxes of 20kg for the winery located near the vineyard plot where white and red grapes are picked without choice, is the mixture of vine varieties that define the blend in the mill. Grapes are not destemmed, fermentation is carried out in a mill with the whole grape and foot. The wine remains in stainless steel for 6 months, after which it is bottled and waits for 12 months in bottle until it is at its maximum fullness for consumption.

Tasting

Robust to accompany meat, ceviche, sushi, seafood dishes, vegetables, fish with some fat, meat, sausages and cheeses.

Full of aroma, very fresh, where the fruit reigns. At first the peach fills the nose, growing into fruits of the forest (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry).

You can feel the forest and the green pine needles, ending with a watermelon retro nasal. It has a surprising elegance, very striking acidity, smooth and very prolonged.
