This wine is the result of a unique blend of traditional grape varieties from the Lisbon region - Fernão Pires and Arinto, with Antão Vaz, and a touch of the French Roussanne and Sauvignon Gris. It represents well the universe of grape varieties that surpassed the vast variety of Quinta do Pinto and our constant search to create unique batches harmonizing varieties of different origins.
National grape varieties appear in the foreground, imposing their personality and particularity, while international grape varieties appear immediately afterwards, with all their complexity and delicacy to enhance the aroma and the mouth.
Winemaking Process
Careful management of vegetation to optimize the aromatic potential of the grape. Manual picking in box and later selection of the best bunches when entering the cellar.
Destemming and crushing, the must clarified by natural decantation in refrigerated vats. Fermentation by indigenous yeasts takes place in masonry vats at a controlled temperature of 15.16ºC.
Geology: Clay-limestone soils, originating from the Jurassic period, with a clayey and frank texture. Smooth slopes with south exposure.
Cultivation method: Integrated production.
Average production: 7.5 ton./ha.
Harvest date: 2015: August 24th - Sauvignon Gris, August 29th - Roussanne, August 31 - Fernão Pires, September 12 - Roussanne, September 14th - Arinto and September 24th - Antão Vaz.
