Casa da Gazalha Grande Escolha 2018 (Magnum) White

Concept
Wine made of 100% Trajadura, derived of a very particular share of one of the farm’s vines.

The extraordinary terroir where the vines grow, alongside its regular maturation in uncommon years such as 2017, lead to the production of this Grande Escolha for the third consecutive years. It’s a wine designed to display rare sensations, without losing the purity and typicality of the verde wines. Fresh and with a controlled alcohol content. 

At the end of August, when we chose the grapes, they had a great acidity and low alcohol content.Another amazing verde wine.

Vinification
The grapes provide, after lightly pressed, a mash that ferments for 35 days, is stainless-steel vats at a very low temperature (15ºC). After sugar fermentation, the wine was in contact with the leeds and kept with batonage for 1 month.
